Shun Akiyama is a character and protagonist from the Like A Dragon (JPN: 龍が如く ) series, formerly known as Yakuza in Western territories. He appears in Yakuza 4 and Yakuza 5 as protagonists, and as a supporting character in Yakuza 6 and Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
He appears in Binary Domain as part of a Japanese exclusive DLC, likely only obtainable on the PlayStation Store.
He appears in-game as the "Gunner" class, who specializes in assaulting and flanking the enemy with a submachine gun, dealing a swift amount of damage at closer ranges.

- He is not playable on non-Japanese copies, despite this his class name got an English translation.

- Kazuma Kiryu, Goro Majima, Ryuji Goda and Shun Akiyama's appearances are based off their appearance in Yakuza: Dead Souls.
- Akiyama was 32 as of Yakuza 4, Dead Souls was a spin-off of 4, making Akiyama 32 years old despite the fact Binary Domain takes place in 2080.
